When the lights are out and you are suspended in love with that significant other, you see the room clearer than when the sun is beaming through the windows. The sky is beautiful blue... there is no doubting that. When the night falls though be sure to witness the beauty and magic of the dark sky. The Creativity and Soul of the word Black. Typically viewed as something that is ugly or unworthy. Black is Bold Love Actively Connecting Kin. We are all family under one spirit. The color that makes every other shade or version relevant. Race is not the topic. Black is soothing, innovative and original. Black is everything I wanna be. Strong resistant and genius. It is so many things. Black is young vibrant and rhythmic. Black is expressive balanced and mature. At times criticized and stereotyped... but we vilify by making our stereo type.......LOUD. Black is simply beautiful......... to be continued

Manifestation

I've been doing some reading. Self education. Looking for a new way to motivate myself toward the greatness that I see in my future.

looking back into the past... I have a book I started to write in, sorta like a journal. Which I started a little while after I began this blog. This book has no rules. Nothing in it is formatted (similar to this blog lol) So I took a look into this book recently because I read a chapter explaining how powerful writing thoughts down really can be. Looking back and seeing where my life was and comparing it to today where I am happier and significantly more blessed I am definitely buying into the power of writing even more then I have in the past.

One thing that I wrote down that I will share is something that needs to be expressed is this

"MY MUSIC and how it helps ... How can I make something of it without compromising my integrity??"

What I wrote there stands out to me in the present cause I am at a place in my life where I see and have opportunity. A good friend and co-worker had a long talk with me about the risks I would have to take in order to attain the goals I have in mind. The thing at risk is my integrity.

BUT WITH NO RISK COMES NO REWARD.

FEAR NOT GREATNESS!

THE PEOPLE WHO ARE CRAZY ENOUGH TO THINK THEY CAN CHANGE THE WORLD.... ARE THE ONES WHO DO.

TRADITION AMONG FRIENDS

Question: Do you have a tradition between you and your friends? Something that you guys or gals get together and do? Whether it be daily, weekly, monthly, or annually.

I'd like to know some of the things other friends do as traditions.

I bring this up because my best friend Shaheem and I have this tradition that whenever we play basketball together, where ever it is... whether its a park or a gym, that we stay behind afterward and shoot around... and have a bit of a competitive shoot out so to speak. We have been doing this ever since we were in the 5th grade. It has become kind of second nature to us now. This is one of the things in my life that I truly enjoy and greatly appreciate. Thankful to share something with a friend. Life is all the more better with things like this.

Because I Didn't Drink

Boxing has taken on a great role in my life. I've been a fan of the sport since I was a child and have been a follower and student of the "sweet science" since the age of 17. Now at 22 years old I have made the commitment to compete. With this decision I also came to a point in my life where I wanted to test my will power to measure my manhood. So as crazy as it sounds i have chosen to give up sexual intercourse and alcohol even though I'm not in traditional training for a bout. Most of my friends and relatives question this decision on a regular basis since I've started this, as they say "unspeakable act." In my opinion this commitment is going to be the situation that defines me, at least in this stage of my life.

Since the New Year began I have been out 3 times. Each time I went out since I've started training it has been with my friends that drink quite a bit. They did not lay off with the peer pressure when it comes to alcohol. Even though they didn't give me a break i still stayed on track. So within these three outings I have had the most fun in all the history of me being out at social events.

BECAUSE I DIDN'T DRINK I REMEMBER EVERY MOMENT

So when i saw the vlog entry i thought it was hilarious and I commented on some things. My brother appreciates and also is very entertained by my views and thoughts (hopefully you are too). 2010 IS AMONG US

Ten years ago a blog wasn't even thought to be in existence. Y2K was going to be the end of the world as we know it (well the convenient world anyway). All computers were expected to crash and burn and take us directly back to the dark ages. So a whole decade later I am sitting in front of this 24 inch iMac blogging about how time has flown past us.(Now i have moved on to my macbook to finish this entry LOVE THIS JOB)

Basically what i wanted to speak about briefly are resolutions.

RESOLUTIONS- the mental state or quality of being resolved or resolute; firmness of purpose.

Why don't people follow through with resolutions??
Also why do people wait till they have no choice to make one to actually make one?
